Frisco TX Area Racefor7 Run 2019 Information

Frisco Commons Park, 8000 McKinney Rd, Frisco, TX 75034

1. Event Venue:

The event venue is Frisco Commons Park, 8000 McKinney Rd, Frisco, TX 75034. Please plan to get there 30 minutes early to collect the kits for the run (Please refer to section 4 for the start time and sequence of events.

2. Parking, Arrival and Entry:

The attached picture gives the details of the main facilities at the park like parking, restrooms, pavilions.

The running loop is over 1 mile and we will do 5 laps on this path to complete 7K.  

All Pre-registered participants on online registrations at www.racefor7usa.com are allowed into the event. Onsite registrations are available with participants needing to sign physical waiver form and make payment using https://www.paypal.me/ordindia

3. Baggage Drop-‐off:

Participants can drop off their belongings (no valuables please) at their own risk at the baggage counter at the pavilion. You may collect belongings post the event. Kindly stick the bib securely on your chest to be identified as part of the event group. Baggage will be attended by event volunteers. Plan not to leave any valuables like jewelry, cameras, mobile phones, wallets, MP3 players, etc. in the baggage. We are not responsible for lost or stolen belongings.

4. Event Program and Flag-Off:

8:00am – 9:00am: Sign in desk, Kit distribution      

9:00am – 9:15am: Welcome address by Gopal Ponangi

9.15am – 9:30am: About ORDI and Rare diseases talk

9:30am – 9:45am: Patient advocacy talk
10:00am – Flag off by Chief Guest Shona Huffman, Mayor Pro Tem, Race begins. 
11:30am – noon: Finisher Medals, Selfies, Rare Diseases Information, Desk, Networking, Refreshments

5. Restrooms, First Aid and Facilities:

There are restrooms at the park for public use. For medical or other unforeseen emergencies, you or someone near you will have to call 911.

6. Race Protocol:

All participants must wear Racefor7 jackets and display the bib on the chest or back. The participants must co-operate with the police and volunteers during the race. The organizers may use the photographs taken during the race to promote future events.

7. Food and Beverages:

National park service allows ORDIUSA and event volunteers to only offer (free of cost) approved beverages (no glass bottles) such as plastic bottled water, Coffee/Tea, juices, and pre-packaged food items such as multigrain bars at this venue. You may bring your own energy drink or snack. We request the participants to support us by strictly not littering and cleaning up the recyclables, if any, at the end of the event. Any inconvenience in this regard is regretted. 

8. Finisher Medals:

All the finishers may be given medals at the finish line.

We hope you will have an enjoyable time participating in ORDIUSA Race for 7 event and honoring the struggles of about 350 million people suffering from one of 7000+ rare diseases worldwide.

Distribution of T-shirts, Bibs, Caps:

The T-shirts, Bibs, and Caps can be collected by registered participants from ORDIUSA team at check-in desk on the day of the event at the venue starting at 8 AM.
